Ghana international Kingsley Sarfo has been sentenced to two years and eight month in Prison on Friday morning.
The Malmo FF enforcer was found guilty on charges labelled against him for raping a 14-year-old girl in Sweden.
The noteworthy legal case applies to two events that Kingsley Sarfo has been charged with. The one event took place the first week of September 2016 in an unclear location in Malmö - the other on June 1, 2017 on a handicap toilet in People's Park.
Chamber prosecutor Rikard Darell believes that there are two cases of rape against children, where Kinglsey Sarfo is well aware that the girl is under the age of 15 years - and was pushing them to have sex.
The 23-year-old has denied the allegations throughout the trial process. He admits that he had sex with the girl, but claims that it happened on other occasions. Sex has been voluntary, and he was convinced that the girl was 16 years old.
Sarfo has been detained since January 31st, 2018.
In addition to imprisonment and expulsion, Sarfo is ordered to pay 150,000 SEK in damages to the girl.
Sarfo earned a debut call-up to play for the senior national team of Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers last year.
